I can’t believe I didn’t tell you about this yet. I have a really good reason though: I wasn’t sure I wanted you to know how big of a weirdo I am. That’s good, right? Anyway, last weekend, Ellen and I participated in The Great Cloth Diaper Change in an attempt to break a Guinness world record. Pretty exciting Saturday, right? Gone are the days when I used to tailgate and go to MSU football games or head out with some friends to an all day concert. Nope. Nowadays, an exciting Saturday is going into a church basement and wiping my child’s rear end alongside a few dozen other cloth-diapering mamas while listening to a local children’s band singing “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.” Woo Wee!
Here are a few pictures from the event. We don’t have any pictures of the actual change because that’s against the law and stuff. What? Dozens of naked babies being photographed by strangers is illegal? Yes. Yes it is. Anyway, here is what I’ve got for you:
The Group
The Before
The After!
So, we don’t know if we broke the record yet. I’ll keep you updated on that news; be sure of it! And, if you’re looking at the pictures thinking, “That’s not a lot of people…” you’re right. It was a world wide event, so our numbers are being tallied by Guinness with groups from all over the world. Fingers crossed that I get to go down in history with this awesome honor attached to my name.
I’ll be sure to remember all of you little people who were here from the start.

that’s really cool!!! What kind of cloth diapers do you use? I was thinking of going cloth whenever baby #4 decides to come
They are the best. I can tell you all about how we do ours. We use the BumGenius 4.0. I have used other brands, but this one is by far the easiest and most leak proof!
Oh how times have changed :) I wish we could have done cloth diapers but there aren’t any daycares here that will use them. Good luck!
What was the record you were trying to break? Number of babies changed? Time? You didn’t say!
