Ok, ok. If you’re a blog lover, you already know Google is doing away with its feed reader in favor of dying a slow, self-inflicted death. Or something like that.
Whatever. I’m over it. Kind of.
Anyway, instead of forcing myself into Google+ (which I loathe), I just decided to find another reader and shmove shmon schmiff schma schmife. After lots of trial and error, I picked Bloglovin’ because it is so easy and pretty. Is there more criteria I should be concerned with, because I don’t care.
Do you want to use Bloglovin’ too? It’s easy:
(1) Just follow these directions to download your info from Google.
(2) Upload it to Bloglovin’.
(3) Keep reading.
There are a few things I wish BlogLovin’ had. Perhaps they are working on them? My blog lovin’ self can only hope.
1. I wish it there was a setting to mark posts as read as you scrolled past them. I hate having to click on each post to mark it as read.
2. It would be nice if BlogLovin’ also imported all of my “starred items” from Google Reader. I guess I can just put them on Pinterest to save them.
3. The mobile app doesn’t let you auto scroll to the top after you read through your feed. Kind of annoying to have to scroll all the way back up there onyour own. #firstworldproblems
4. I don’t know if it’s just a bug, but I can’t figure out why sometimes it tells me I have -1, -2 etc. blogs left to read. You make no sense.
I’m sure you understand the point of all of this. If not, and you’re looking for a new reader,
follow me on Bloglovin’.
(p.s. they have a syncing iPhone app too. bonus.)
(p.p.s if you subscribe via email, this won’t affect you. as you were.)

i switched to bloglovin’ too. i use their little bar to read blogs in their own blog format and it lets you page through blogs and lets you mark them as read without clicking.
I haven’t played with that option much yet. I’ll give it a go. Thanks!
I started out with bloglovin’ and I love it! It is a lot easier to manage I think!
XO, Kelsey
I think I am actually going to love it even though it leaves a few things to be desired. I really wish the mobile app allowed swiping!
Okay, I have been hearing a lot about ‘bloglovin’ …what exactly is it?
BlogLovin’ is another feed reader that you can read all of your blogs/news in. BlogLovin’ and Feedly seem to be the two that everyone is flocking to from Google Reader. They both leave a few things to be desired, but I am crossing my toes that they will up their game as Google closes their service.
