Independent consultant Mandi provided me with a product to review. Thoughts are my own. And, you get bonus points in my heart if you can get that farrrrrr reaching reference in the title of this post…

You know what I do with my hair everyday? I throw it up with a hair tie. Every. Single. Day. I am one of those people where if I wear my hair down, I often don’t get recognized. I’m ok with that though. I really love having my hair up. But, I have been looking for a more polished look as I approach my 30s. So, Mandi suggested I try a Flexi Clip by Lilla Rose.

I want to be totally honest about my experience with the Flexi: I was skeptical. I have tried contraptions in my hair before, but since it is so fine and slippery, nothing works.

This worked. And it stayed in all. ding. dong. day.

Not only did it work, but it was really easy. Here is a pic of me using it literally 30 seconds after opening the package. Fool proof, I say. And you can call me a fool.

I tried so hard to get a good shot for you. Using the Flexi is easy. Taking a selfie of the back of your head? Not so much.

I have been wearing it every single day since receiving it, and my go-to style has been the messy up-do look. The company has tutorials online if you want to go for something else.

This is kind of what I do, but I like it messier:

Rockin' my Sunday best with a Flexi.

Rockin’ my Sunday best with a Flexi.

There are tons of different styles. I prefer classy and simple things, so I chose the Elegant Ornate Center. I also really like the Celtic Knot Gold. But, if you like fancy, intricate and colorful, they have lots of those too.

So, if you want one of your own, you can contact Independent Consultant Mandi or enter here to win a Flexi (up to $16 value) sponsored by Mandi herself. Thanks, Mandi!

I’ve been wanting one of those elegant clips! I have the same hair issue as you and wear it in a lame ferret-like ponytail almost every day. I would LOVE to win one of these!

There is a video that can help you figure out the size you would need: http://www.lillarose.biz/mandi/flexi-sizing-and-styling It might be different from what you are thinking. And I adore the skull and crossbones too! I don’t know where exactly I would wear it, but it’s so fun!

Watch the sizing video. I bet you would need a large at least! And, if I was buying one for you, it would totally be that one ;) Twinsies!

Hey there, Fergie Ferg. Great review! I anticipate a l-o-t of hair frustration in my soon-to-be post-partum plus a toddler state. I might need one of these! I like the simple band.

Jenna, is your hair really thick? I’m nervous with my thick, curly hair that this would be very painful/difficult to remove from my hair once I got it in…as most hair ties get knotted up and I need help from an outside source to retrieve them ;)

    otherwise I think I like the fleur-de-lis

You just use a pin to push through the “figure 8”. Pull the pin out and it comes out so easy! There are different sizes for different types of hair. I’ve never heard anyone complain about it being painful or difficult – in fact, many women are huge Flexi fans because they are one of the only hair accessories that work in their otherwise difficult hair. I hope that helped!

I have thick hair, but it is super slippery because the actual strands are really fine (I just have a lot of strands!). That’s why I love this so much. My hair normally won’t hold anything because of the reasons I just said, but this works. I would take a look at the sizing video and see what you would be. If I had to guess, I would say you are a large, but watch it and see if I’m right :)

I’m totally proud of myself, I got your title! I have an appreciation for your references to current pop culture! If my friends (who are also 30ish) stayed up to date on current culture my comments would be a lot funnier. For now I laugh at myself and they laugh at me laughing at myself ha-ha. Anyway, this clip is way cute! Love the review, love your blog, it’s mighty cute missy!

I’m a total girl & I love too many to narrow it down. But I do like that they tell ou what kind of hair it works best on.. As someone with fine hair i loathe buying hair accessories that just don’t work!

took me a second but I got the Fergie reference! and I love all the celtic knots or crosses, and there is one fairy one I love too. Even if I don’t win I think I’m buying one because, like you, my hair is always up in a messy bun. I never leave my hair down because it’s thick and wavy and dries frizzy so I have to blowdry or straighten which takes eons. And it’s hard to do without 3 monkeys destroying my house in the process. oh well, maybe I’ll just chop it all off again lol

I love the Who’s Hoo! I’m a total sucker for owls. The Lovely Circle Stone-set in Emerald is gorgeous too. I have very thick long-ish hair and have always wondered whether a Flexi-Clip would work or not, especially when running around after a toddler (and soon, having it pulled by another baby)! It seems like such a prettier option than pulling hair back into another plain ponytail.

Vicki, as long as you get the right size, it WILL work! I’m in a group of nearly 1000 women who sell Lilla Rose and I have never heard one say that they encountered a customer who the Flexi didn’t work for. In fact, many of them say they are surprised how often customers say that the Flexi is the first hair accessory that works in their thick/long/curly/slippery/otherwise difficult to style hair! There are seven sizes, so you would just need one of the larger ones for your thick, long hair! (Here’s the sizing video for you to check out what size with work best for your hair: http://www.lillarose.biz/mandi/flexi-sizing-and-styling)
