Would YOU like to “Co-host”
With this move happening, and the living with my parents happening and being pregnant happening, St. Patrick’s Day took a back seat this year. Usually I like to get a little festive. You know, wear a green shirt and eat cabbage or something. We do it up right. However, Mike and I are going to go on a date while we have live-in sitters. I plan to drink water. It should be exciting.
Most of our clothes are in a storage unit, so pinch me.
blazer: Nordstrom Rack
bump: 30 weeks, I think?
unseen navy leggings uniform: JC Penny
hair: no time to wash and still late for Mass despite the fact that we left the kid home because she is sick (hungover? I jest.) for another March 17.
Ellen and I wanted to see how badly we could clash today. We both wore blazers so we had that going for us. And, for the bump watcher in you, I think I am 29-30 weeks – as in the dr. thinks I’m 29, but I think I’m 30. Believe who you will.
blazer and top: Nordstrom Rack
leggings: JC Penny
check out flp for things that probably match.
Hanging out at my parents’ house for a few weeks while we wait to close on our house. Did I mention we bought a house? Well, I’ll mention it again later just in case. Bated breath. Ok.
The Deets:All of these gems (gray long sleeve T, navy stretch pants, neon yellow scarf) are from JC Penny. I was feeling a little huge and frumptastic yesterday so I went out and bought new clothes. That’s appropriate, right? Is it sad that lounge wear not only made it to Church, but it made me feel better about myself?
There are a lot of things I wanted to cover today before getting all packed up for the move and setting off on the great and open road to Michigan (or just sitting in horrible mpls traffic – either way).
Let’s start with a thank you. I wish I had time to respond to all of your comments from Friday. I did not expect such a huge response, and I am so glad I wrote that post. So, instead of causing myself more undue stress (I hope you understand), I just want to let you know that I have read all of your comments and suggestions, and I am so grateful to have readers like you. Seriously, you’re all number one. I am making that possible. Thank you – it means so much to me. Smiles abound!
Since I have been feeling better, we decided to make it out to St. Paul’s Cathedral. We have only been trying to go there since we moved here one year ago. And, being our last Sunday in MN, we finally did it.
I’m pretty sure everything I am wearing you have seen before.
Kohls, Nordstom Rack, DSW…places like that.
Grand Finale? Your Gospel reflection for today.
Went to a later Mass today since we were virtual home shopping this morning. People kept telling me that buying a home was a pain. No disagreeing from me. On to the pretties:
I was told I needed to jazz things up a bit. It doesn’t get much better, really.
Bonus: you get a little look into my morning get-ready spot. So, there you go.
bump: 26 weeks
scarf: stole it from my mother
leggings: JC Penny (on sale for $3!)
always boots: DSW
A little staring with Ren.
A little piano with Liam.
A+ in Mass today for the toddler. So, as promised: a donut.
And the deets:
definitely not maternity pants: j. crew
peacock top: Express
wool vest: j. crew
boots: always Blowfish
tired eyes: my fault; I’m reading a good book…
Check out the other pretties at FLP.
And, if the snow kept you in, here is your Gospel Reflection for this blizzard Sunday.
I’m taking this Sunday off, so you’re going to be deprived of my repeat Mass outfit and after Mass leggings and long-sleeve tee. Sometimes a momma just has to rest…like during weeks when her sweet child refuses to nap because she is way too cool for that.
seeing: finally trying to finish The Constant Princess before another constant princess wakes up
hearing: silence. well, silence and mike playing counterstrike. whatever that is.
tasting: making chili for the big game tonight. purely a coincidence. didn’t know there was a big game.
smelling: my mistletoe candle. still burning it.
feeling: you know, heartburn, swollen ankles, insatiable hunger. the usual.
If it’s an outfit you’re jonesing for, head to FLP to get your fix. I’m spent.
I spent most of Sunday in my PJs. Why? Because I’m a grown up and I can.
So, we went to the 5 o’clocker and, good things come to those who wait, there was free dinner afterward. Who knew? Ellen enjoyed it so much that she ate a piece of chicken that some kid had chewed up and spit out on the floor. If I take a break from blogging soon to nurse a sick child back to health, you’ll know why. Gag.
Oh, you want to know what I wore? I have provided you with a fun little picture that I like to call, “Watch the Bump Pop”. Watch it:
Details:I am pretty sure that I got all of these items at Nordstrom Rack.
I can’t remember things these days because the baby ate my brain last week.
Also, I’m pretty sure I am in denial about the fitting of this shirt.
And, just a little FYI. Stop by A Knotted Life on Tuesday to vote for this ol’ blog in the Sheenazing Awards. Honestly, it’s an honor just to be nominated. (Guaranteed I am the only person who will say that.)
After traveling, fluing and excuse excuse excuse, I am finally back to What I Wore Sunday. Phew.
dress: Calvin Klein from Nordstom Rack
belt: The Loft
hair: someone force me to get a haircut
Now, go check out all the other fine ladies in linen and purple.
