So, I’ve told you about my obsession with baskets. At least that is useful. My other obsession? Sailing. I don’t have a boat. I don’t know how to sail. I think it’s the idea of sailing that I’m all about: the fashion, the lifestyle, the relaxation. It all seems so preppy and navy-stripey. I love it. Can you blame me? Look:

I know pretty much zero about sailing. Well, that’s not true. I do know that the word “posh” was derived from sailing. Nerd Alert:
When sailing became a new form of travel, specifically around Cape Town, the richest people would book their seats portside on the way out and starboard on the way home. That way, they got a great view for the entire trip. So, the swanky, rich seats were Portside Out, Starboard Home, or posh.
You are now smarter.
That knowledge should qualify me to own one, right? All I’m saying is that if you wanted to give me a sailboat, I would not say no. Think about it.
