A Pinteresting Party

October 24, 2011 By Jenna 8 Comments

This weekend was a big one for us. Ellen turned three months (more on that later this week), we went to a luncheon with my mother-in-law, Michigan State won BIG over Wisconsin and my mom and I hosted a Pinterest Party! We came up with the idea because we are always finding so many wonderful things on the site, but we never find the time to bring them all to life. So, the Pinterest Party was born. Take a look for yourself at the fun we had. And, even better yet, consider hosting one of your own: invite your Pinterest friends, assign them something to find and create from Pinterest (food, decor, prayer, crafts, etc.) and spend the day showing off and creating the cool things you found on the site.
First of many Pinterest Cliches. That’s why it’s fun, people.
We started the day nice and early with a prayer found on the site because we are good Catholics, of course.
Check out some of the decor in and around the house:
We were joined by a mouse and his hole. Thanks, Kelli.

There was plenty of food to munch on all day. Mmm. Calories.
Cakes in a Jar. Mason Jars: Classic Pinterest.
Dranks: chocolate soy protein drinks and carrot lemonade (not pictured; drank too fast). Oh, speaking of carrot juice, is it safe to do a juice cleanse while nursing? I feel like it’s a bad idea, but I thought I would ask you anyway…getting back on topic now.
Making t-shirt Scarves
Material for Rosettes
A little witches brew? If the name fits…
Finished Rosettes
Chalkboard coasters. Covering all of the Pinterest bases.

Finished t-shirt scarf. True story: this woman loved these so much that she turned it into a small biz.

Follow me on Pinterest to see what I wish my life was really like. Kidding.

This is brilliant! So many delicious treats and crafty ideas!
I just moved though, and i don’t know very many people in the area. I would love to have one of these Pinterest parties though.

Amazing idea. I never heard of a pinterest party, but how clever. I am always finding stuff to do on that site, but have trouble finding the time to actually get it all done!
