While it seems like most days lately are straight from our toilet bowl which is in dire need of attention, there are actually a lot of things I am proud of this Christmas season. And while we may have done them unshowered and in dirty clothes while we ate lunch meat out of the package soon after I finished screeching for the umpteenth time that day coupled with copious F bombs by way of text to my dear and patient husband, we did these things, and I guess I can be a teeny bit proud of that.
Our tree – it sparkles. And we made ornaments.
We made a gingerbread house and so.many.cookies.
I got the house decorated.
We’ve been honoring Advent.
We’ve been reading books under the tree.
We got to visit the man himself – twice. Ellen even picked out her outfit both times…
Keep up with the rest of our Christmas here – it ain’t all sunshine, but sometimes we do good things.
I did not do many of those things…so you are way ahead of me. I did, however, send the messages with all the f bombs.
Win win win. Looks like someone shot the “fail-o-saurus”… ;) Good work, Rockstar Momma

Props to you, sounds like you did so many great things this holiday season! We have not made cookies of any kind, nor decorated at all, no tree, have lit the advent candles exactly 4 times in nearly 3 weeks, and I’m a total stick in the mud so we do not “do” Santa Claus (we did take a picture with St. Nicholas in bishop garb though and Lucia got a candy cane). So I would say you have MUCH to be proud of!
im so impressed. I wrapped all our presents and then Josie opened them.
I see that palm tree kicked the angel out of her spot on the advent calendar! haha, looks like ours, we have camels sitting in the trees!
Oh! That reminds me that we bought a gingerbread house kit a month ago and still haven’t put it together! Weekend activity, here we come!
Oh my gosh that last picture of Ellen is so so adorable! I got the house decorated and am proud of our tree. . . I love your idea of reading beneath it. We’ve been reading Christmas books and other than going to Mass that’s been our best demonstration of honoring advent. We have an advent calendar but its the chocolate and Santa version and we never remember to do it. I’m proud that I have almost all the gifts wrapped! Well… none of Cupcakes’… but that’s something. :) Have a very merry Christmas!
You’re ahead of me! How did you get your spritz cookies to look so nice?

All your decorating pictures are so pretty! and – I don’t know if I can put this rightly – they look realistic. As in, not crazy, home-magazine unobtainable, you know? They look pretty, and they look like they’re from a real home. Love it!
You really are a great mom. Making memories.
