7QT: Little Pim, Lilla Rose, Little Bird

September 5, 2013 By Jenna 4 Comments

#3 is a review that I was asked to write. I was given a product. Thoughts are my own. blah blah FCC.

-1-

I’m going to try out a program today called Faithful Fitness. It’s at the Free Methodist church in town, and that got me thinking. Why doesn’t the Catholic church by us have something cool like this? Don’t get me wrong. I don’t have any problem crossing denoms for a little cross fit. But, wouldn’t it be cool if our church did a program too?

It was suggested that I start one of my own. Oh! It would be so easy! Not. I don’t have time for that. Somebody who has time for that please go start it and get back to me.

Does your church have something similar?

-2-

I just discovered tiny Instagram books. Now I need them. What would I do with them? Why have them? These are questions I can’t answer for you. I just need them.

I would put pictures like this in there because you can’t not smile when you see this picture. They did studies on it.

-3-

The other night everything had poop on it. All the things were crying. None of the dinner was maked. It was bad. And then Mike texted me to tell me he would be home late. Wanna know what happened next?

Knock Knock. Little Pim showed up! Little Pim is a language learning program that I was asked to review, and wouldn’t you know that the DVD showed up that very day?

I popped that sucker in, and Ellen asked to watch it three times in a row. It’s not very long. Don’t judge me. Anyway, she really loved the animated panda as well as the short video clips of little kids. She just soooooaked it all in. Really intent, that one.

We ordered Chinese food, learned Spanish with Little Pim, and ended up with a semi-peaceful night. A multi-cultural celebration, if you will.

-4-

This weekend we are going to visit Dwija and her family. We are also going to power wash the house. I will let you choose which of those two I am looking forward to more.

-5-

Because things are so very exciting around here, I thought I would tell you about a game Ellen and I invented. You are going to want to learn this game because you play it laying down.

We call it Little Bird Hatching: Lay on the ground. Give your kiddo a great big hug. Tell her to hatch from the egg. When she does, she has to tweet and flap her wings. Then, she gets imaginary worms.

This game also works well for when your kids are being a pain. Just substitute real worms for the imaginary ones.

-6-

I’m doing a Lilla Rose giveaway sponsored by indie consultant Mandi Richards. You guys. I feel like such a big nerd for loving a hair accessory so much. I almost didn’t want to tell you that I get excited to get ready in the morning because I get to use my Flexi. Just enter the contest or buy one and see why I am not as weird as I sound.

And, the Mantilla Link Up is still open, so don’t forget to veil, blog and share.

Joining Jen with the new, fancy look.

So Jenna, just to warn you, I was introduced to Lilla Rose by a reader that wanted me to do a review. And I did it. And I loved it. I used to not do a thing with my hair ever and now it’s cute every day (in a Flexi or with a headband, etc.). They are addicting. And now I’m a consultant. Um, guess I didn’t warn you early enough. Muah hah hah!!!

In other news, I can’t believe you get to meet Dwija! That’s insane! Two of my favorite bloggers ever. In one place! It’s a security risk – what if an assassin takes both of you out at once?

hahaha! I will tell you what: anytime I have the urge to start selling flexis to someone, I am going to send them your way and give you the business. I can be the middle woman ;) And, I am trying to decide if I need another one right now. I mean, I don’t NEEEEEED one, but they are so cool! Christmas, Mike, ahem??

And, I am so very lucky because this was the second time I got to hang out with Dweej and her fam. Our kids are good buddies when we get together, and we wanted our husbands to meet as well. So, we popped over for dinner and stayed way too late. It was awesome.

We had heightened security surrounding the area. No worries ;)

First, I have been dying to get an Instagram book for a long time and Mike always shoots me down. Well darnit, now I’m gonna do it…and blame you :) Sullivan’s daycare is in a Lutheran church and they have an amazing workout room there. I’m tempted to join just to use the facilities. One of my other friends does a laid back work out thing at her church. She and a bunch of the other women get together at the church (they have a large gym) and they’ll bring a bunch of work out dvds to pick from. They end up doing everything from cross fit to dancing with the stars to p90x. She loves it and does it once a week or so.

I’ll try the bird game but with Sullivan and his cranky ass mood recently he’ll probably just start yelling that he’s not a bird. le sigh…I am not excited for him to be three.

I love work out dvds! Mike thinks I am completely insane. But, I am making him do one with me next date night. He will see just how hilarious they are. So hilarious that you become addicted.
