Quick Taking it again. With Jen.
Are we all aware that yesterday marked the beginning of the Year of Faith? If not, check it out here.
My mom and I finished our sugar skulls yesterday. They turned out mighty, mighty fab. Here is a picture. I’m going to take more and do a post on them later. But, at least you get a little sneak peak. I know. You’re welcome.
My new favorite things Ellen is doing: singing her ABCs and counting to 10 with us (amazed momma each and every time), grunting when she picks something up (honest to goodness, she picked that up from my mom. hilare.), memorizing parts of songs (especially Elmo), and not nursing (the kid is finally weaned; I love it and I miss it, but it was time).
Speaking of my mom, the saint came from MI and spent Sun.-Thurs. with us. It was awesome. That pretty much means Ellen gets 24/7 attention (which she adamantly insists on), and I don’t have to change a single diaper. Heaven.
I met the new priest at our church on Wednesday. He talked to our moms’ group about meditative prayer. He gave us some really great pointers. Want me to share? Ok. I will. But later.
I am so dumb for real and accidentally got myself on every spam list on the planet Earth. It’s fine, I guess, because it all goes to my spam folder, but is there any way to make it stop? Please make it stop.
In case you’ve never been there when a toddler wakes from her beauty sleep, let me show you what it’s like:
Also, I’m pretty sure you’re never too old to accidentally fall asleep on your mom.
