#5Faves: Netflix To-Dos

August 25, 2015 By Jenna 12 Comments

Netflix gave me a streaming device and asked for my thoughts in return. Here they be. All mine. All truth.

What do you do when you have lots to do? You just ignore that ish and watch Netflix. And these babies are on my to-do list. Let me know if you’ve seen them/if I should invest the six solid minutes I get each day when my house isn’t a legit whine-ery.

5faves

-1-

Heart of Dixie: I like shows that are super sugary. I can’t just sit and watch TV; I have to be doing something else as well. I feel like I might be able to multi-task while watching this due to the sucrose. Maybe?

-2-

The Cobbler: Did I just put an Adam Sandler movie on My List? Yes. It’s not that I don’t like him. It’s just all about the fact that I am not in middle school anymore. So, color me shocked when this looked tempting.

-3-

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries: Is this going to be scary? I am big baby, and Pretty Little Liars can only be watched when Mike is not not not on a work trip. But this is so tempting. I love mystery and red lipstick.

-4-

The Paradise: I’ve heard some good stuff about this one. I love how beautiful the sets and cinematography look. That’s why I’m a sucker for Baz Luhrmann and Wes Anderson stuff.

-5-

Welcome to Me: Love me some Kristen Wiig – particularly Penelope (tell me you love her the most too). So, I think I would like this. Tell me if you’ve seen it.

What’s on your Netflix to-do? Tell me in the comments or link up your #5Faves (about anything!) below.  .

Stop it!! Don’t tell me you’re a PLL-er too!! I didn’t know I was allowed to admit it! Ok, Now I know it’s cool. I canNOT wait until season 6B comes out—I hear it’s due in Feb ????

    Thx for these awesome tips!

Heart of Dixie sounds fun! I have to check it out. I think Outlander and Grand Hotel are next on my list. I read book 1 of the Outlander series and loved it…..have not watched the show yet.

Of course i’m still a Once Upon a Time and Blue Bloods junkie. I’ve been getting up super early for some me time. Once the day is planned, prayers done, breakfast table all set, I need my show! (This only works out maybe once every other week though! So I’m really behind! )

Thanks for hosting! I’ll comeback and visit others who link up….
Take care and enjoy your babies! xoxoxo

I’m enjoying Heart of Dixie so far…and yep, you’re totally right about multitasking – I crochet while I watch! (And on a related note the hubs and I started watching Arrow and we REALLY like it.)

Welcome To Me was great! Very lighthearted, yet educational way to present mental illness, especially borderline personality disorder which is a huge diagnosis this day and age. I loved it!

I loved The Paradise! It got me into Selfridges which isn’t on Netflix, but is on Amazon Prime. I was so sad that there were only a couple seasons. But, I really enjoy period dramas, so there’s that.

I also enjoyed Hart of Dixie. Very sugary. There does end up being some sleeping around, but it’s not explicit… not that it makes it ok… but more watchable? Just a warning. Doesn’t hit until second season though from what I remember.

    Ohh love talkin’ Netflix shop.
Ok, Hart of Dixie: we enjoyed Season 1, and made the decision not to go on with S2 because of over-predictability and sleeping around issues. But enjoyable/silly/easy to watch S1.

    The Cobbler: fun, light-hearted, sweet.

The Paradise: gorgeous. Lovely accents. Amaaazing sets.Great, great acting, per Masterpiece Theatre. And I totally second Mr. Selfridge as a go-along (not on Netflix tho).

ooo thanks for the suggestions! I agree with your point in #1; I’m always working on stuff while I watch TV (except on date night).

    I <3 Netflix
