tl;dr

tl;dr: too long; didn’t read

You know how sometimes you have blogs that you love and blog authors that you love even more, but you also have a family and laundry and meals to cook and etcetera and so forth? So, you end up missing out on parts of your favorite virtual friends’ lives – not by choice, but just by life?

And then you feel terrible when you find out that she is pregnant or going back to work or moving, and you had no idea. Wouldn’t it be nice if bloggers put out a cliff notes version of their lives every once in a while? I thought so.

Here is my tl;dr (too long; didn’t read) of late:

  • We’ve been living in Michigan for over a year now after moving back home from Minnesota.
  • Sam turned one in May, and Ellen will be three in July.
  • I opened an Etsy shop selling embroidered necklaces.
  • I’m going to Edel!
  • Sam found himself in the ER last week for stepping on a rusty razor blade.
  • Ellen hasn’t had anymore of her weird mystery episodes lately, so we are hoping she outgrew them.
  • Things I’m into lately: embroidery, essential oils, finding good spiritual reading

Now you knowwwwwwww.

Update: Some of you wanted to link up to this party, and because I aim to please, I have granted your wish. Now, don’t make me look like a fool. Link up your tl;dr. If we likey, I will make it a monthly deal. Just link up below and link back here so we can catch up with the lot of you. Feel free to use the tl;dr graphic above. End the guilt associated with #feedbankruptcy!

YES this would be an awesome link-up! I totally have been a slacker lately and haven’t read all the blog posts and I feel bad :(

Yes, ma’am! I figure it’s an easy way to feel like you are reconnecting with your blogging friends without having to read through tons of archives!

I’m not a blogger, but can I play?

    1. I graduated with an MPA a few weeks ago (but I still have classes all summer).
    2. Mike and I both have exciting new jobs. I’m a Program Officer for the City working with area nonprofits; he’s a Sr. Financial Analyst with PG&E.
    3. John finishes his residency this month, and we’re all heading to Denver to celebrate!
    4. In October, I’m going to Cabo with some dear friends for a wedding of one of my favorite gals from grad school.
    5. Things I’m into lately: coconut oil for everything, NYT Now app, Parks & Rec, learning how to lift weights

This is genius! Now if I can make sure all my favorite bloggers link up I can finally delete those 500+ posts sitting in my Bloglovin feed. I am paranoid I will miss paramount news if I don’t go through them all. LOL. I will link up later today! :-)

Yes! My kids are not napping! Translation: behind on all the blogging that I find so nourishing, behind on blog friends, and clinging to any hint of sanity I can find/muster/etc etc … Point: love this idea! :D

I’m pulling a Cara and playing, too! No blog to link up here.

    1. I’ve been living in the same house in DC for the past 2.5 years but need to move in August. I might try to get a studio or 1 bedroom and live on my very own for the first time ever!
    2. I’m taking a hip hop class and have a recital June 21 and 22. Yes, an adult recital. You heard me right. Fun fact: I pulled a tendon in my thumb learning to break dance in this class.
    3. I’m coming up on my 2-year anniversary of working at 50CAN and last fall got promoted to Chief of Staff.
    4. I’m considering applying to some sort of education policy fellowship this fall. It wouldn’t require me full time though so I can stay in my job.
    5. Alejandro is expanding Springboard Collaborative to Camden this summer and we’re pumped!
    6. I might be going to India this fall for a couple weeks.
    7. Things I’m into lately: making juices in like 1 minute with my nutri-bullet, trying to read more non-fiction, using my birchbox samples and trying to get more creative with my newly short hair.

Oh, I loooove this!!! I mean, I don’t blog but I’d love it if my favorite bloggers would do this sort of thing occasionally. Too often, I get very busy in my work life and/or home life and I feel bad when I miss important moments and don’t have time to catch up.

    I hope Sammy’s okay!!

    I had to google tl;dr. ;)
