silly easy chili

November 20, 2013 By Jenna 13 Comments

Update: I posted this recipe last year around this time, but now it looks cooler…or…chillier. Ha.
You guys, I made chili for the first time ever this weekend. Isn’t that weird? I eat a lot of it. I love it. But I have never made it. It kind of made me feel like a real mom: opening cans, dumping them into a pot, slaving over and stirring the pot for 15 minutes. It was really Fall.
And, I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but TOOT TOOT! It was good. So, I’m going to give you my recipe. You’re welcome.

Our recipe is really similar but with no peppers. Brown sugar adds such a great taste to chili. I also tend to use ground turkey, instead of beef. With all the seasonings we don’t miss the beef taste much and its healthier.

I like to add a can of corn to this too. An extra veggie and adds an extra serving too.

When I first glanced at this, I thought it said “sassy easy chili”…if anyone could make chili sassy I’ll bet it would either be you or Mary W. ;)
