Update: I posted this recipe last year around this time, but now it looks cooler…or…chillier. Ha.
You guys, I made chili for the first time ever this weekend. Isn’t that weird? I eat a lot of it. I love it. But I have never made it. It kind of made me feel like a real mom: opening cans, dumping them into a pot, slaving over and stirring the pot for 15 minutes. It was really Fall.
And, I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but TOOT TOOT! It was good. So, I’m going to give you my recipe. You’re welcome.

I know everyone has her own secret chili recipe that is the best and all of that stuff, so, share them! And, if you are wondering how to make your own super cool recipe card, check out PicMonkey and get all creative on yo’ bad self.

i was using the crock pot last night, I will have to try this!!
xxS
Good one! Yeah, I always feel like a “real mom” when I make soup. Ha ha!
Our recipe is really similar but with no peppers. Brown sugar adds such a great taste to chili. I also tend to use ground turkey, instead of beef. With all the seasonings we don’t miss the beef taste much and its healthier.
Which is funny because it is so easy!
Let me know what you think :)
Its getting cold outside this will be good to try.
Chilly weather calls for a pot of momma’s homemade chili, yum. Congrats on your first pot of chili and thanks for sharing.
I like to add a can of corn to this too. An extra veggie and adds an extra serving too.
corn? a veggie? hardly. ;)
When I first glanced at this, I thought it said “sassy easy chili”…if anyone could make chili sassy I’ll bet it would either be you or Mary W. ;)
Officially referring to my chili as “sassy” now :)
