It’s a…Blog Post…

We did the big gender reveal thing today.

Oh. You want to know too?

Ok.

Remember this commercial? Totally doing this after the birth:

Yes, sir. I have a little dude in there. We are so happy. Me because I would be happy with anything; Mike because he is already fantasizing about all of the cool toys he gets to play with. Now we are working on names. We haven’t the slightest. What did you name your son(s)? Tell me please. I’d love to steal it.

And, just for good measure, here is our guy. I’ll spare you the details. He’s got all the right parts.

Congratulations to you, Mike, and big sister Ellen!

  3. Congratulations:) Boys are awesome, I have six;) and five brothers, and 6 b-i-ls.
Not sure of your tastes in names, we like more unusual Catholic names, so my boys are: Dominic, Xavier, Malachi, Saxon, Ignatius and Sebastian. Middle names are more evergreeen (mostly) Francis, Michael, Joseph, Patrick, James and Vianney.

    • Thanks! And, I might have to hit you up for boy advice with all of that testosterone around :) It’s funny you say that too. We are pretty much the same in that. We like lesser used, strong names, and for middle names, we like to chose a family member :)

  4. notinjersey says:

my boys are Zachary and Simon!

  5. so exciting congrats

  6. Congrats to you!! Boys are the best :) I have an Isaac and a Noah (we like Old Testament names apparently…)

  7. I love Bible names or family names. I never went with popular names but stayed away from odd names. My sons: Frank Joseph, Timothy Daniel and Alexander Brian. Parker is a good name too! My maiden name is Frank. Have fun and God bless!

  8. Gretchen Linenger says:

Michael for first or middle name. :-)

  9. YAY, so exciting!
    Congratulations!!

  10. Aunt Linda says:

Congratulations, now you have the perfect family..

  11. So exciting! Congratus to you and your family! :) No kids, but my favorite boy names are Joshua and Benjamin!

  12. Congrats! My son is Matthew Michael

  13. Auntie Liz says:

Yay! My first nephew!!! My votes are Henry and James since I love those names and can’t use them myself. ;-). Kim, you are funny calling dibs!

  14. Jill Schnuphase says:

    Congratulations! Happy for you guys!

  15. Boys are awesome!! I am the lucky mom to four of them. The boy names in our family are John-Paul, Andrew, Eamon, and Alexander. Their boy cousins are: John, Liam, Brogan, PJ, Ryan, Tommy, William, Gavin, and Finn. We like some good Irish names :)

  16. Yay!!! Boys are so fun!!!! You know my kids names so I won’t bore you with telling you again;) BUT I really loved Asher for a boy. It means happiness :)

  17. Congrats on your little man! And thanks for the blast from the past with the commercial.

  18. My son is Micah. I still love that name 17 years later!

  19. Yea! So happy for you both! Obviously…no boy…but I love the names Thadius and Mathius. David is not a fan of either. It might break ss rule, but I thunk Thad is a very different nickname. Good luck!

  20. A boy! Huge congrats!

Our sweet boy is ten months old and his name is Callum.

    He was very almost Finnlay.

    Or Jude.

    Or Jack.

Mostly he is ‘little man’ or bubba, Cal or Cally.

And we loooove him to bits!

  21. Congratulations!!! With our little guy, we went traditional Catholic for first name (Peter) and a little crazy, but biblical for the middle name (Melchizedek).

  22. Kris Chatfield says:

I have 4 boys: Joshua, Jordan, Joel and Jameson. And yes, all “J” names. All the men in my husband’s family have the same initials: JMC. That’s what I had to work with. Sigh.

    • haha, those are some strict requirements :) It could stand for Joseph, Mary and Christ though…so they are in good company!
