I get asked to review a lot of products, books, videos and services, and I do my very best to provide you with an honest review. Sometimes that means singing someone’s praises, and sometimes that means pointing out flaws. Recently, I was asked to review the first video, Be Still, in Lisa Chan’s new three-part video series True Beauty: Finding Your Identity in Jesus.
Let me start you off with the trailer:
And a clip from Be Still:
So what do you think? Here is what I say:
This first video is absolutely beautiful. It is calming and it is quiet. The cinematography alone makes you feel that being still and becoming closer with Christ is possible. And Lisa’s gentle way of speaking is captivating and calming. These are the kind of videos I could pop in whenever I am feeling chaos, and they would calm me right down.
As a person who is constantly striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman, this video spoke to me. Lisa knows what I am struggling with, and she offers a simple solution. She preaches that the point of being still and knowing God is not to worry about doing it right, instead we must just do it in any way we can. Take the time we spend on Facebook, take the time we spend watching tv, take the time we spend emailing and texting, and fill up with God instead.
The biggest thing I took from this video? Psalm 46 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” What must we do first in order to know God? Be still.
So would you like your own copy of all three videos? Because you know I’m doing a giveaway. To enter, answer the following question in the comment section: What could you sacrifice in order to create more time to be still with God?
If you’d like an additional chance to win, follow Call Her Happy via Google Friend Connect. Leave another comment telling me you already do or you just started.
Giveaway ends 9/16 11:59pm CT and the winner will be chosen at random and announced on 9/17. Good luck!
Now, get off the Internet and go be still.

This is a beautiful reminder. I want all of our BASIC teens to see this as well as all of the Mary’s Mantle moms. After I view it first, for my own reminder.
