7QT: The Monday Edition

-1-

I went to the store this week to pick up a couple of things for my mom. Here is the conversation I had with the owner:
Owner: When are you due?
Me: Three weeks.
Owner: Wow! That long still? You know, we had a girl in here a while back who was really big like you!
Me: …

In better pregnancy news, I saw my doc on Monday and he said I was 2.5 cm dilated and 75% effaced. He predicts I will be having this kid in 7-10 days (which means 2-5 days from now). I told him I am holding him to that. Come on, kid. Fat momma’s ribs are trembling.

I taught Ellen how to fist pump when she hears (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party). I think I am winning at being a mom this week.

I have been looking for a new wallet that will keep me company when I walk downtown. I love my luggage/purse. I really am oddly in love with it. But, it gets to be a little much when I am out and about with Ellen. Please do yourself a favor and check out Celine’s store. Adorbs and so practical. She is a master.

Do you want to know something hilarious? Hilarious might be an overstatement. No, wait. It is. Do you want to know…something? I wrote these 7QTs on Monday night. I just had a lot of thoughts and a weird amount of time while Ellen was sleeping and Mike was taking apart the Ikea table he just assembled because it was way too big (I told you so), so I went for it. Blog nesting?

Do you want to know how I know I am pregnant? First of all, that nice gentleman in #1 pointed it out ever so gently. But, other than that? I can’t stop playing Candy Crush. I don’t play games on my phone. I don’t do that. Right now? I can’t stop doing that. I’m blaming it on the fact that I have a male person inside of me. Boys like games, right?

Linking up with the very unpregnant Jen today (or Monday…).

  1. I just started following your blog :) I know exactly how you feel with being pregnant, I’m only 30 weeks but with twins so it feels like its much closer!

    • Twins! Twice the love :) Although, I have to imagine that you are twice as uncomfortable. Many prayers for a speedy and healthy pregnancy!

  2. My sister is due about the same time. Prayers for a safe delivery

  3. You’re definitely not the only one who writes these in advance! You’d think that the “quick” in the name would make it easy, but sometimes I struggle, so I just write down the interesting things as they happen (if my life is even interesting…). Praying for your last days of pregnancy and for an easy delivery!!

  4. Tee hee. Funny about boys and video games. Get used to it!

  5. Praying for a safe and healthy labor/delivery!

  6. I write mine super early too. Like, last weeks I wrote on Tuesday. I hope your baby comes quick! praying for you :)

    • Yes! A fellow over-achiever! And thank you for the prayers. Many prayers and congrats on your beautiful marriage!!
