So, Bonnie is a real gem and is doing Sheenazing blogging awards again this year. You need NOT be a blogger to vote. So, you know. Go vote fer yer faves.
And, more importantly, if you could say some prayers for her family while they wait for a diagnosis of their son James, I know she would be so grateful.

So many good blogs I have run into lately.
I know.
You need more to read, right? But, give Everyday Reading and Everything to Someone a browse. I’m already loving these suggestions.

One more. You’ve read 4life4life, no? Carolyn has been a rock while I was in a hard place. She even sent over super secret pictures of her bedroom so I could learn more about co-sleeping. That girl. She’s a win. Not to mentioned she introduced me to the VSCOcam app.

Grace and Carrie and Annie all got the embroidery bug. And, a very supportive Grace inquired about a potential Etsy shop on my horizon. Drumming my fingers and pondering, I told her. What’s all y’alls thoughts? Is this something we would like? Yes, we are a we now. I took us to that level.

Ellen has picked up this adorable (No.) habit: when I ask her to stop doing something, she mean mugs at me and says, “I’m going to fight you!”
What the fetch? Who taught her that? I am going to fight you.

After a mommy meltdown I had last week, I decided to remove a ton of unneeded distractions from my life, so I deleted almost every app off of my iphone (save for Instagram because I am not INSANE). Can I say it is wonderful? I can? Ok. It is wonderful. I felt like I was in this little misery bubble and I needed to 1. get out of the house and 2. stop doing this:

We sat behind a mom of 11 at church a couple of weeks ago, and Ellen fell in love with her youngest daughter. We got to chatting after Mass, and she set me up on a blind date with her oldest daughter and the mom’s group she’s in. Seriously what I have been praying for for so long.
Last week, we met at one gal’s (I say gal now because I am a lady in a group) house and had pumpkin oatmeal (which apparently they eat each week) and coffee. We chatted while the kids played. And, we’re all new and young moms. Perf. Seriously perf.
It reminded me of the part in Carrie’s book (shout out dos) where she talks about the women she used to meet with and how, “I didn’t feel like I was being scrutinized – just welcomed. When one of them offered me a glass of Coke and some Cheetos, I knew I was in the right place.”
That’s how I feel. Hashtag blessed and all that.
.

Yay! I am so glad that you are feeling better and have found a mom’s group! It sounds like the perfect thing you have been needing!
Oh and also, YES to the Etsy. I love your embroidery and I just dont think I have the willpower to ever finish my own!
Daww Jenna, you’re sweet as pie. Thanks for giving me a shoutout on your beautifulness of a blog. And the Mary Undoer of Knots? Frankly, I’m afraid to pray it!
:0) all of this.
Yay!! Love all 7, but especially número 7!!! My mommy and me group has been the best thing to happen in my life, besides my hubs and kiddos of course ;) I call it my mommy therapy group :) It was the first time in my life that I truly felt accepted and not judged in a group of women… They’ve become my most precious friends!
And you should so do an etsy shop!!!
Loving the embroidery tuts too!
Have a great weekend!
Oh, how exciting to find a mama group that makes you feel at home!! After I read Cari’s book, I immediately wanted to start canvassing everyone I know in the area to find a similar group. Why is there not an internet directory of these things for introvert types like myself? Anyway, when we get back to Michigan this summer, I might just invite myself to your group :).
YES to the having of the real people! We are meant to be with others. So community. Much commiserate. Wow.
Thank you for the prayers!
And I’m SO happy you’ve met a group of peers. What a blessing.
Lastly, sometimes I wish I had a smart phone of some kind but mostly I’m glad that texting is as fancy as I can get with my phone. I spend enough time on the computer… I’m sure mine and the kids’ screen time would be much worse if I had an iphone filled with fabulous apps.
Joining a mom’s group has made a huge difference for me! Glad you’re doing better lady!
