Did you follow #jenna4aday on Twitter this past Wednesday, or were you busy do infinitely more productive things with your day? I will blog about it on Monday if you want to hear even MORE about yours truly.

Mike and I went to a Parenting with Love and Logic course at our church last night. We really liked it, and we are going to implement some of the principals, but we are totally putting our own spin on it cuz dat’s how we do.

I guess it is just reassuring that we are on the same page when it comes to parenting.

Inconsolable Sam. Oh Inconsolable Sam. We have taken you to the doctor, given you meds, tried all sorts of comforting techniques, but you cry all day. The house is in shambles, dinner is not regularly cooked, my brain is mush, and you just keep crying. I wish I could help you, buddy. Maybe a lovely reader will have some advice.

I’ve been the worst Instagrammer ever lately. I blame it on Sam.

Double dating with this gal on Saturday after I had to cancel on her last time. Excited to get our fun on with her and her hubs.

Can I just take a minute to talk about how much I love my life. For reals. Mike works hard so I can stay home, we have good health insurance, and we can afford a few little luxuries here and there. We have a great church. I love the town we live in. My kids are cute. And we have the most supportive family on all sides. So, when I gripe and moan and complain, it is super hard on that day or in that moment, but I always know that we are blessed beyond all measure.

You’ve probably tried everything at this point but my best suggestion is hylands teething tablets. I remember poor Cupcakes being in so much pain. :-( how long has he been teething?

For a couple of months now :( Do you like the tablets? Are there any side effects?

You can get Ergos on Craigslist for a decent price, but if they have them on Zulily again JUMP at the opportunity – new on Zulily they’re cheaper than you can usually find them used.

I’ve also heard that TJ Maxx has them for pretty cheap if you can’t find one used. Just DO NOT purchase on Ebay, since there are a lot of counterfeit Ergos on there.

Good to know! I actually went over to the local crunchy baby store and picked up a used Becco for, wait for it, $30! And I had coupons and credits, so I only paid $3. Winner!

You mentioned meds, have you tried to talk to your doc about reflux? Our second son was miserable and cranky (especially after feedings). He never spat up, so our pediatrician dismissed the idea of reflux. He was about five months old when we took him to our old-school GP, and asked about silent reflux, and he said it wouldn’t hurt to try Pepcid. We ended up calling that the “Normal Baby Medicine” because no lie, he was a completely different child. Happy to eat, slept well, never a fuss unless we missed a dose. He grew out of the reflux, too, when he was a year old or so.

Yes! We actually have been giving him a probiotic, and we have him on zantac. Poor dude.

I’m sorry yyour little Sam-boy has been crying so much! That definitely takes a toll on Mama’s nerves! I’ve heard good things about Love & Logic. I think I might even have their book kicking around my house somewhere…

    No advice; just a prayer.
