I mean, I know I am a human being. I understand that. But sometimes, don’t you just feel like a big ol’ blob…especially if you happen to be a pregnant mom? Do you have any products, items, things, etc. you need in order to feel like you can belong in society after nights that lack sleep? Here are my seven things I use (most) every single day.
1. Suave Dry Shampoo
Can I get an “amen” for dry shampoo? And can I get an extra one for reasonably priced, effective dry shampoo? I love this stuff and I use it 3-4 times per week. It saves me a ton of time in the morning because I don’t have to wash my hair everyday and I don’t have to blow dry it and style it. I just spray, fluff and put it up. It adds volume, hides grease, and doesn’t smell perfumy either. High on my rec list.
2. Sally Hansen Cafe Au Lait Nail Polish
Grace mentioned this on her blog one day, and I had been looking for a really great nude polish. This is the perfect shade. I love it for three reasons: 1. the color is so classy 2. it doesn’t show chips as often as regular polish 3. I always feel more put together when my nails are painted. Do you get that too?
3. A Comfy Blazer
Instantly look like you put effort into your outfit when really you are just wearing jeans and a t-shirt. A blazer makes me look like I put thought into what I’m wearing when really I was smelling the pits of my shirts before I decided what to wear. I recommend getting one made out of sweatshirt material. They are stretchy, comfy and wash easily.
4. Fashion Glasses
Nothing hides tired eyes like glasses. But, some of us are cursed with perfect vision and don’t get a chance to hide our puffs with style…unless we buy fashion glasses. And, I love mine. I got them from Firmoo, and they were super cheap. I just picked my style and asked for no Rx. Bam. I instantly look stylish and I didn’t even have to put on eye makeup (but I did because I don’t leave the house without it really).
5. Green Concealer
Hi. I am Jenna. I am 27 years old and I still get the worst zits ever. I don’t really feel the need to walk around public showing off how *young* my skin looks. I don’t want people to be jealous. So, I dab some green concealer on before I put on the normal stuff. Works like a charm.
Kind of like a blazer for your hair. See #4.
7. Trim Neat Feet
Yeah, so this might be gross, but I love this thing. My love for it is proportionate to the hate I have for dry, scratchy feet that make noise when they touch couch blankets. Gross. Pumice stones don’t work fast enough for me. Get a shaver, clean it well, be careful when you use it, and you’ll love it too.
If you want, tell me what you need to function. I love trying new schtuff. Or you can keep your secrets to yourself…
