Yesterday I had myself convinced that no one in the history of motherhood has ever had it harder than me. I’m pretty sure I am still right, but I’ll let you judge. Picture this: the flu. That’s right. I have the flu. Not only did I have the flu, but my 17-month-old had the flu. Mike was away on business while Ellen Jackson Pollocked me in puke.. Luckily he came home in time for my puking to begin. And, can I just say that we all laugh about how hard it is to sneeze after having a baby…no one ever told me how hard it would be to vom. See, can you think of anyone on earth who has ever had it worse than me? I didn’t think so.

Wow. Six more to go, eh? Turns out there isn’t a whole lot for me to talk about that wouldn’t make you puke too.

Obviously our Jen has been laid up recently with some tricky health issues. The silver lining? All of her readers have been discovering oodles (mmm. Ramen.) of new blogs to peruse-ify. Here are some of my newest follows:
Unequally Yoked
Eye of the Tiber
Catholic Sistas

And, if you’ve never checked out this feed, do it.

We’re supposed to take Ellen to Sesame Street Live on Sunday. Could you say a quickie to your favie that we are all healthy? I wouldn’t be so worried about it, but services charges are hefty sons.

Aw crap. Here comes the Tamiflu again. How do I keep this stuff down?

Yikes!! :( I hope you all start feeling better soon!
Today I downgraded my deathliness to a horrible cold. I can handle a horrible cold. Yesterday I could not handle!
FEEL BETTER SOON! This is when I wish we all lived closer to each other…I have lots of free time on my hands and would love to be able to help out! Thanks for your comment, btw :)
That would be awesome! With our move coming up in February, maybe we will end up close. God only knows where he is going to move us in JUST ONE MONTH!
I feel your pain! My hubby is a firefighter and everyone (including myself) always gets sick when he’s on shift for 24-36 hours. It’s rough being a mommy! ;-) Good luck, and I hope everyone is on the mend quickly! http://www.fiveminutesformommy.com/
I have to say, I am blessed that my hubs has a normal 9ish-5ish job. I have a lot of friends whose husbands are fire fighters, doctors, swat team members etc. You wives are so strong. I can’t imagine having my husband gone so long and with short notice. But, God bless them and you guys for doing it. Society wouldn’t work without you!
Love Grace, so I clicked on over! If she loves you, that’s a good recommendation for me. Hope you feel better!
I promise my posts will not always be as flu-riddled as this one is. Wash your hands after you read my blog until I feel better. I wouldn’t want you to catch.a.virus.har.har.
Illness makes for such nice quick takes doesn’t it? I remember having a stomach bug right after #3 was born and trying to puke into a pail while nursing. I know you’re happy I shared right? Glad you’re on the upswing. Things are winding down here too (dry, chapped fingers are crossed.) Enjoy the show tomorrow!
Bahaha! That made me laugh out loud! It is reminiscent of the time I had diarrhea while nursing. Good times. Good. Times.
