I’m a world record holder which pretty much makes you famous by association. Remember when Ellen and I did The Great Cloth Diaper Change back in April? Of course you do. Anyway, I just got around to checking out the stats, and here is what it says:
Record Title: Most people changing diapers simultaneously (multiple venues) | |||||||||||
Attempt Text: The most people changing diapers simultaneously at multiple venues was achieved by 8,251 participants at an event organised by The Great Cloth Diaper Change (USA) at 189 locations worldwide, on 21 April 2012. |
Bet you never thought you’d be rubbing elbows (or maybe keyboards…) with someone so accomplished. Oh, and I get an award too. Except it costs money to get it, so what kind of award is it really? Instead, take a look at this watermarked image. This is what the award would look like if I ponied up the cash for another dust collecting object for our home:

Ta-da.

Mike, Ellen and I all had the flu this week. Mike had a sore throat and congestion. Ellen was a snot factory. I had the aches and a fever. So, you might want to stay away from this blog for a while. I hear you can catch viruses that way. Har. Har.

Do you watch Bunheads? Let’s back up. Did you watch Gilmore Girls when it was on? Does your heart ache whenever you think about Lorelei and Rori? Then, you need to watch Bunheads. It’s essentially the same show with a slightly different plot. Different enough that you feel like you’re watching a new show; similar enough that you still feel like you’re watching the same show. Small town. Same actors. So wonderful.
We had my BIL in town from Florida last weekend. It was so adorable watching him with Ellen. He wanted to carry her every chance he got. She even learned to say Joe (more like, “Jo!”). They played. They read books. They snuggled. And he is single, ladies.
We also went to the State Fair last weekend. I am not much of a state fair kind of gal. I don’t know. It’s just a lot of meh. But the people in this state do.not.stop.talking.about.the.fair.ever. People have been talking about it since the day we got here in February. Are you going to the fair this year? Have you heard about the fair? Did you know our fair is the 3rd largest in the country? Are you going to try the cheese curds at the fair?
So, we decided to go to the fair. And, you know what? My BIL said it best, “I had a really good time at the fair, but if someone asked me why, I wouldn’t know what to tell them.”
Maybe it was all of the fried food on a stick. Maybe it was the all you can drink milk for $1. Maybe it was the people watching. Maybe it was the fair hair. Actually, I’m pretty sure it was the fair hair. I so so much much want to be a stylist next year. I want to rat people’s hair and put glitter in it all day long.
Oh, and speaking of link-ups (we were talking about link-ups, right?), don’t forget to link up with the Weekend Blog Walk!

I LOVE Bunheads!!! So much.
Stopping over from Jen’s 7QT. Okay, LOVED GG when it was on! Heard of Bunheads, but have never seen it. Now I may have to figure out when it’s on. As a general rule, I don’t watch any TV unless it’s on Disney or PBS. But, I would totally make an exception for this.
One word: Elderberry!! Next time you feel a yucky virus coming on or you’ll be going into a germie environment take some elderberry. You can gettin at the vitamin shoppe and it’s a syrup that fights viruses! Take a few tablespoons and couple times a day and you’ll feel better in no time! Oh an did I mention it’s all natural and safe for the entire family! Seriously- this stuff works miracles
