I could get all “mom” on you right now and tell you about how fast this Summer went and how big my kids are getting. But, I will spare you. Instead, enjoy my five favorite Summer moments. I know I did. Oh, and head over to Hallie’s to see more 5 Faves, then swing by Iris’ place to see the rest of the best of the Summah. Double dippin’, finger lickin’ good.
-1-
Being outside. Honestly, I’m more of an indoor kind of gal, so when I do go outside, it better be for a good reason. These were good reasons.
-2-
Picking our Food. Summer food is the best food, and it’s even better when you pick it yourself, no?

Have you figured out her favorite shirt yet?
-3-
Cooking all the food we picked. Or bought from the store. Whichever.
-4-
Relaxing with family. We got to meet the newest addition to the clan, slept in and went on dates. Perfection.

Living in a small town. Our town does parades right. And festivals. They do those right too. So charming.

Inside girl, eh? We’ll change this. ;) And fresh food is just the BEST, isn’t it? My garden was a flub again this summer (except for the onions), but we managed to talk most of our fresh food off our neighbor. And yes. Small town girl, holla!
It’s almost kind of embarrassing to admit. It’s just the wind and the bugs and the hot and the sweat and the prep to get the kids out the door and and and. I know. I’m lame.
I couldn’t agree with you more – garden food is the BEST!! The sleeping baby pic (arm over eyes) is too, too cute!! I’ll never regret the time I’ve spent adoring our babies….watching them sleep is a precious experience!
I have to remind myself of that often. It is so easy to think, “Finally, they are sleeping! Now I can get stuff done!”
Ah so much fun! I love parades and festivals! :-)
The BUGS! They’re the worst. I keep just sending the kids outside with a bucket of ice or peanuts or something that’ll take them forever to eat, but when the bugs are gone I love to enjoy a little outdoor time!
That is the best idea ever of life. Stand solid, my fellow indoor friend. Pasty people unite!
