Design Lovefest Wallpaper: Want to know something bizarre? I added additional desktops to my computer just so I could have more screen savers. Puh-thetic. But they are super cute. If you didn’t realize this was a young mom blog, I just said “super cute”, and that’s your clue.

thredUP & Twice: If you have read this blog for a hot second this week, you know I have been raving. Still shopping. Don’t stop me. (and yes, those are my links).

CRF Fair Trade Chocolate: I wrote a bit about this at CatholicMom.com, but here is the skinny. There is nothing skinny about it. This is straight up delish chocolate, and it’s fair trade, and it’s a Catholic organization. Triple whammy, anyone?

Clementine Patterns: So I started teaching myself to embroider. Yes, with the hoop and a needle. And I think about old lady things and also about how I am cooler than you. Seriously though, if you want to get into it, I have a bunch of blogs that I love, and if you need a starter kit, Clementine Patterns is my fave.

This G.K. Chesterson Quote: “If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.”

Our deacon used it as part of his homily this week, and I love it. Think about it: usually we say it is worth doing right. But, often it gets overwhelming to do something the right way. Overwhelming to the point that we don’t even try. But, if something is truly worth it, we should be willing to give it a go regardless of whether or not we have it figured out. We should be willing to make mistakes and keep going. Knowing you don’t know it all and committing to something anyway? That tells me it is worth it.

Linking up with Hallie – I love Wednesdays.

Thank you so much for the embroidery link; I’ve been wanting to try my hand at it forever but I had no idea where to start! I’ve been looking for something to do to keep my hands busy (and away from my computer!) but I really wanted a kit so that I didn’t have to drag my minions into a craft store to pick out embroidery floss–the thought of which is enough to send me into hiding in the bathroom with my chocolate stash :)

Those were my thoughts exactly! The kit is perfect! I am even double dipping and giving it as a gift to someone :)

That quote is on my blog sidebar. For obvious reasons ;) I’ll have to look into that chocolate – sounds like a win!

I wonder if our Whole Foods carries that chocolate? It look’s like the triple crown of tasties! If I can’t find it, I guess it is time to… sweet talk the WF buyer! ;)
I love the embroidery link. I used to do that a lot more. I love it because it reminds me of my Nana, who taught me to embroider and used to make the most enormous and complicated pieces. I just loved sitting near her and watching her tiny, perfect stitches become beautiful art! I think I may just need to pick up a new piece to try my hand at soon.

I would guess that they do. It’s probably one of the more popular brands.

And, yes, it’s totally an old-lady craft, but isn’t that so chic right now? :)

I just started learning to embroider myself and I love Clementine Patterns. Now I need to know your favorite blogs. Love to find new inspiration.

That website looks cool, I’ll have to check it out soon! I love that you took time to upload ‘super cute’ desk top designs, something I would do too! And yes, I say super cute a lot and I’m not a mommy:)

I love that quote, and don’t think I have ever heard that before. How profound! You are so right – when the stakes seem high, I just automatically hear “danger Will Robinson, danger!” in my head, envision colossal failure, and crawl back into my turtle shell. Such a great quote… Enjoy the embroidery, old lady! ;-)

LOVE this quote. I actually used it in my book. It’s kind of my motto for married life/motherhood. ;)

I repeat it to myself often, otherwise I get caught up in having to do everything perfectly. I’m glad to know I am in good company :)

Ugh, you’re killin’ me. I literally want to use every one of those desktop designs. I’mma need more computers. Or I’ll just force my friends to use them too so I can look at them. Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

Ha! I have a mac (and maybe you can do this on a PC too), so I just created multiple desktops. I don’t use them, but they have pretty wallpaper.
